As one of my incentives at work, I was able to go to New York City for a training and was able to take TJ with me! It was the BEST thing ever!!! I love New York City and I love that TJ was able to finally see what all the huff and puff about. Although, I was a little worried it would be too city for him and he wouldn't live with me in my dream of living there some day- it turned out okay :)
I was born in New York City and have felt a bond to the city. Maybe because my parents spoke so highly of it and loved their time there or because I love the business of it all. I've always thought it would be fun to live there for a bit with just TJ and I and maybe a child or two.
It was an even better trip because for half the time my parents were there! Perks of working for my father ;) I flew out with on Monday and had trainings till Wednesday. TJ flew in on Wednesday night and we left Saturday.
Here are some pictures from the week trip.

It was fun walking around with my parents in New York City. They lived here when they were first married and had three kids here. We walked by where my mom went to the doctor when she was pregnant with me and old places they lived and even stopped by this restaurant where they would splurge on BBQ chicken. |

On our last morning in New York City, we walked down to Ground Zero and the area where my parents used to live. Got some breakfast at the farmers market and walked through the street fair that was happening. |

Ever since dating and marrying TJ, I've learned to notice buildings more and how they were built. This looked more like a life version of Jenga. |
