TJ and I met in Draper, UT in May of 2014 in the local LDS singles ward.
The first time I remember meeting I approach TJ in the hallway at church introduced myself, we talked for a little bit and I remember walking away with a smile on my face thinking "hmm...he's nice."
One night at an activity my friend talked to TJ for a while and afterwards she told me that I should go for him. I took the challenge and started my pursuit :)
One evening a few days later I got a call from TJ. Thinking that everything was going according to plan already, I answered expecting him to ask me out only to have him ask me if he could use the left over food from an activity I put on last week for his activity next week...and that was it!!! Nothing!
However, a few days later he did ask me out. I remember driving down the mountain at the end of our first date thinking "oh no, what have I gotten myself into. I think this might be it." The rest was history. We spent everyday together after that.
TJ proposed on May 8, 2015. It was a completely surprise! I always told people that I will definitely know he's the one if he can get away with the proposal without me knowing about it. Not only did he do just that but he went above and beyond my expectations...in the rain even. He made a video documenting the whole thing.
We got married on September 19th 2015. It could not have been a more perfect day. We had a dinner the night before for our close family and friends. The food was amazing and the toasts were even better.
The wedding day was even better. We got married at 1 pm which was perfect! We got married in the Draper, UT temple. The temple sealing was heavenly. Nothing like having your family and close friends there to watch you make the best decision of your life. It was like walking into heaven and a beautiful ceremony. The best day ever! Our reception was in TJ's grandma's backyard. That was magical. Lots of lights and clear skies.
And we are living happily ever after!
