First Trimester

1st Trimester: Weeks 1 - 12

We MADE IT! I am so lucky that this first trimester was not bad at all! Not at all bad because week 11-12 we went to Beijing China! But thank goodness for good drugs!

I luckily never puked during my pregnancy so far. Although some days driving home from work, I would have to consistently eat goldfish all the way or else I would get super nauseous. I did get hit with horrible migraines and was super dizzy all the time! I got treated with NAET treatments at the clinic which kinda help. And I also ate so many ginger candies that just thinking about them makes me wanna vomit!
I have been super super itchy! Growing skin! And I have already boughten a pair of maternity pants...the best thing ever!!!

I craved In n' Out all the time the first few weeks and then my cravings stopped, which TJ didn't find very fun. I think he was looking forward to all the great and random things I would want to eat.

I went home for a week and pretty much laid on the couch cause I was so nauseous. Then in November we went the Beijing. So there was a bit of travel involved.

No baby bump during this trimester.

Week 5: Our little tadpole

Week 9: See your little nub of a hand waving!

Baby Girl Kirton

Hello Baby Girl!

I always knew you'd be coming to us! In fact, from day 1 I was calling you a girl so thank goodness you were! Your daddy and I have prayed for you to come to our family and after losing the first one, we wondered if we were in for a journey but you came when we least expected it. And that's the best kind of surprise.

On September 22nd, I was a day late. When you've been trying and trying, you no longer take a pregnancy test the first day you are late. I usually waited a week or so before I would take one. But that day, I just felt like I should take a pregnancy test. So at 12:05 I went back into the bathroom and checked to see if there was that very hoped for second line, WHICH THERE WAS!!! I could not believe it!

I didn't tell TJ cause I wanted to surprise him somehow. But knew I might need to soon because when you can't get pregnant right away, you look into getting a puppy which we were doing that night. Our anniversary was a few days before so I wrapped the pregnancy test up and told TJ I had a last minute anniversary present. Here's your daddy's reaction.

*The funny part of the video that got cut off was that TJ then goes "It's negative!" Because by that point in the day, the line had disappeared. We then went and took another one right after just to be sure haha.

A few hours later at 3 in the morning I woke up with excruciating pain in my abdominal area. I was extrememly naseusous, blacking out and in so much pain I couldn't move. So much pain that we got in the car and rushed to the ER thinking it could be my appendix. They got us all checked in and later the doctor came in and said that it was most likely not my appendix but is probably early signs of a miscarriage...great. But we got to see you on the ultrasound! You in your tadpole stage. We could barely see your little heart beat trying so hard to beat the odds. So at 7 in the morning we left with a packet of information all about miscarriage. Not my first rodeo. I called my parents the next morning because we knew we needed some prayers on the behalf of this little one. We held off to tell his parents cause we wanted to surprise someone!

We came home praying that all would be well. And that day went and got our cute little YorkiePoo named Zoe. Well reality hit less that 12 hours later and at 10:30pm we decided we couldn't keep you with a huge medical bill and a possible child coming our way. Luckily the people who got Zoe's sister wanted Zoe so badly. We called them up to see if they still wanted her and we dropped her off that night at 11 to be reunited with her sister. In the end it was the best plan because we got to keep you!

I was fortunate to be working at a health clinic at the time and the practitioner Martha Bray there was able to see what could have caused the abdominal pain- turns out it could have been a combination of supplements that I was taking and now that you were inside me, you did not want all that detox stuff so you let me know and Martha was able to help get me off those supplements and on the progesterone suppositories because my body does not produce enough progesterone to sustain a fetus. Thank goodness for her and me working there because I think it's how we were able to keep you- knowing what my body needed.

We are so blessed that you are coming to our family. You have already made us so happy and we can't wait for June to come so we can meet you and hold you and love you! Please grow healthy and strong!

UTAH STATE FAIR 2017

Fall Time means Fair Time. The fair reminds me of being on the farm in the summer. I love it so much! My favorite fair game is trying to win a goldfish which I was determined to do this year! And we did! Sadly, our fish died 3 days later... :( Never playing that game again!
